Hakuna Matata food festival runs June 12-21 at Barbeque Nation
Sayaji Kolhapur hosted Hakuna Matata - The Great African Food Feast from June 12 to June 21, 2026, during dinner service at Barbeque Nation Kolhapur.
The menu brought African and Caribbean flavours to a city better known for its fiery local cuisine. Dishes included BBQ African Cinnamon Fruits, Caribbean Drum Steak, and Kuku Paka. Executive Chef Kishan Gunjal said the festival was designed to introduce guests to flavours and cultural experiences beyond the familiar.
Kolhapur rarely sees this kind of regional food programming at hotel level. For ten nights, the city got a taste (no pun intended) of something genuinely different.
