MUSIC Walk

A whole day compressed into one evening of raags at the Opera House.

When Friday 7 August, 7:30 PM
Where The Royal Opera House, Mama Parmanand Marg, Mumbai
Cost ₹699 onwards

Priyani Vani Panditt takes a concept as old as Indian classical music — that every raag belongs to a time of day — and builds an entire Friday evening around it. Raageet: Prahar maps the arc of a day through melody, moving from morning raags to the ones that only make sense after dark.

The concert weaves together Indian Classical Music and Bollywood, so there is something familiar waiting even if you are new to the form. It all happens inside The Royal Opera House, which remains one of the most atmospheric rooms in Bombay for anything acoustic.

Tickets start at ₹699. Friday night could do a lot worse.

Pack Dress smart casual — it is the Opera House after all
Tip Priyani Vani Panditt structures the entire concert around prahars, so every raag you hear belongs to a specific time of day — it is a full arc, not a playlist.
