Alphonso Prices Drop in Mumbai Market

Increased arrivals bring relief after rain-hit season

Culture alphonsokonkanmumbai-market

Alphonso mango prices have dropped sharply at Mumbai's APMC Market as daily arrivals jumped to 70,000 boxes from Konkan districts including Ratnagiri, Devgad, Sindhudurg and Karnataka.

Boxes previously selling for ₹2,000-₹5,000 now retail at ₹1,500-₹3,000. The price relief comes after unseasonal rains devastated the Konkan crop, slashing production to 25% of usual levels and doubling prices earlier this season.
