Karnataka Darshini QSR Namah Lands in Mumbai
Thatte idli and goli baje hit the western suburbs
Namah, a darshini-style Quick Service Restaurant bringing Karnataka comfort food to Mumbai, has opened in the city's western suburbs, per Mint.
The menu runs deep on Karnataka classics: thatte idlis, goli baje, paniyaram, shavige bhaat, khara bhaat, and neer dosa. On the sweeter end, ghee-soaked obbattu, ada pradhaman, Mysore pak, and wheat halwa arrive with badam milk.

Darshini-style dining, the standing-counter, no-frills QSR format ubiquitous in Bengaluru, has rarely translated to Mumbai with this kind of menu range. Namah is a test of whether the format travels. Bas, the food will decide.
