Goa's Café Lento Opens First Pune Outpost
The Goa favourite adapts its menu for Pune's all-day café culture
Goa-based Café Lento has opened its first Pune outlet, bringing its considered café format to a new city.
The move was not copy-paste. Chef Jyoti Singh spent time studying Pune's eating habits before finalising the menu, accounting for the city's stronger vegetarian culture and preference for all-day dining. The result is a menu built around dishes like a Bunnywich with roasted carrot and stracciatella, a Fun-Gai sandwich, rice bowls, and freshly baked breads, per The Hindu.
For Pune's café circuit, which has long leaned on familiar formats, Lento's Goa-honed sensibility, slow, intentional, vegetarian-friendly, could find a ready audience.
