Delhi's Street Food Lands in Kolhapur
Sayaji Kolhapur ran a ten-day Delhi food festival through May 17
Sayaji Kolhapur's Blue Lotus Restaurant hosted the Delhi Dawaat food festival from May 8 to May 17, 2026, bringing Old Delhi street food and Mughlai cuisine to Maharashtra's south-western city.
The festival aimed to recreate the food lanes of Chandni Chowk for Kolhapur diners. General Manager Mukesh Rakshit said the event was designed to bring the warmth and soul of Delhi's legendary food culture to the city.
Kolhapur already has a fierce identity of its own, tambda rassa, white mutton, and misal that pulls no punches. Importing Delhi's culinary vocabulary into this market is a calculated bet. Whether it lands or not, Sayaji has planted a flag.
