Ethnic Table Takes Top Regional Restaurant Prize

Ethnic Table, Dimapur, was named Best Indian Restaurant of the Year in the Regional category at the NDTV Food Awards 2026, held on June 15 at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. Chef Aketoli Zhimomi received the award on behalf of the restaurant.

Ethnic Table's story starts in 2013, when Zhimomi won the inaugural Naga Chef competition, a win that laid the foundation for the restaurant and a decade-long push to put Naga cuisine on India's food map.

Ekdum sahi. A kitchen rooted in Northeast India's larder just walked into a Delhi ballroom and took the top regional prize.
