Tokyo Gets 12 New Michelin Picks in June
The MICHELIN Guide drops its latest Tokyo additions, and there's a Mexican and Vietnamese spot in the mix.
On June 21, 2026, the MICHELIN Guide released an early preview adding 12 newly recommended restaurants in Tokyo, all now marked 'New' on the official MICHELIN website and app.
The list spans cuisines far beyond the expected sushi and yakitori. Confirmed additions include L'appétit (French), Tomita (Japanese), Jiyakiunagi Todoroki Hirasawa (Eel), Sushi Sugisawa, No Code (Mexican), and NÉN TOKYO (Vietnamese). Tokyo already holds the record for the most Michelin-starred restaurants of any city globally, and additions like these keep that ecosystem restless and wide.
For serious food travellers planning a 2026 Tokyo trip, these 12 names are now officially on the map. Check the MICHELIN Guide app for reservations.
