The NDTV Food Awards 2026 ceremony took place on June 15, 2026, at ITC Maurya, New Delhi, recognising chefs, restaurants, restaurateurs, and food professionals shaping India's food culture.
Kolkata's Aminia, the iconic biryani and Mughlai institution, was named Historic Restaurant of India. Chennai's Avartana at ITC Grand Chola took Most Innovative Indian Restaurant of the Year. Kolkata's old-guard alongside Chennai's new-wave ambition, on the same night.
Ekdum sahi. Two cities, two completely different philosophies, both winning. The awards underscore how India's dining landscape is simultaneously preserving legacy and pushing boundaries.
