Peru gets the ceremony for the first time in the list's 24-year history
Lima, Peru will host The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 awards ceremony on November 4, 2026 - the first time in the event's 24-year history it heads to Peru, and the first time anywhere in South America.
Lima was selected for its culinary heritage, biodiversity, and internationally acclaimed dining scene. The timing is pointed: Lima's Maido was named The World's Best Restaurant 2025 and now joins the 'Best of the Best' group, making it ineligible for future rankings.
