Lima to Host World's 50 Best 2026
South America gets its first shot at the world's biggest restaurant awards
Lima will host The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 ceremony on 4 November 2026, marking the first time the awards land in South America. The event, sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, is organised in partnership with PromPerú.
The timing is no accident. At the 2025 awards in Turin, Lima's Maido was named The World's Best Restaurant, making it the second Peruvian restaurant to claim the No. 1 spot within three years. Peru's fine-dining scene has been building serious global momentum.

Bas karo, Lima is no longer just a destination on the list. In 2026, it owns the room.
